Officers responding to a custody dispute on the 800 block of Main Street say Timothy Oliver Barr II drove away after wielding a handgun and threatening to shoot his children and their mother around 8:45 p.m., Bethlehem Police said.
The threats were connected to an ongoing custody dispute and had been communicated via text message earlier in the evening as well, police said.
Barr stopped at the intersection of W. Union Blvd. and Main St. before firing the gun several times toward the mother and her children, police said.
Barr then continued driving and has not yet been found, authorities said.
A warrant has been issued charging Barr with two counts of criminal attempt at criminal homicide, aggravated assault, firearms not to be carried without a license, terroristic threats, and recklessly endangering another person, police said.
The investigation remains ongoing at this time, and Barr should be considered armed and dangerous, police said. Anyone with information on his location is asked to call 911.
